Ellipsis is written by freelance art writer and curator Sidsel Nelund who lives and works in Santiago de Chile and Copenhagen. She holds a BA in Comparative Literature from University of Copenhagen and Université Paris Diderot, Paris 7 (BA thesis with distinction). Moreover, Sidsel Nelund holds two MA’s: one finished in 2009 in Moderne kultur og kulturformidling from University of Copenhagen (MA thesis with distinction), and another finished in 2007 in Aural and Visual Cultures from Goldsmiths University of London, Department of Visual Cultures (First Degree Honours).
Sidsel Nelund is currently co-founding Doble Espacio; a non-profit exhibition space for contemporary art in Casa Colorada in Santiago. She is a colaborator of and coming contributor to Galeria Movil de Video.
Since 2004, Sidsel Nelund has been a founding board member of AirPlay – street gallery, a non-profit outdoor exhibition space in Copenhagen, where she co-curated a series of events and exhibitions in 2006. She has worked with radio for a couple of years, latest as producer and art critic at Kunstmagasinet P2, a weekly art magazine at the Danish Broadcast Cooperation, DR.
